Dr. Jimmy Lam

Dr. Jimmy Lam was born in Hong Kong, China, and relocated to the San Francisco Bay area at age nine. Dr. Lam began his academic career at the University of California, Davis, where he earned his undergraduate degree in biological and agricultural engineering. He then achieved his Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine at the Royal Veterinary College at the University of London. During his five years in the United Kingdom, Dr. Lam completed various veterinary externships including a small animal externship in Southampton and a fish externship in Inverness, Scotland. His first job as a veterinarian upon completing his education was at a small animal hospital in Newport, Wales. Dr. Lam enjoys discovering new hobbies and interests and currently enjoys arcades and carnival games. He also played baseball for a short time and is a big fan of the Oakland A's. He has a chihuahua/toy poodle/Pomeranian mix named Ruby.
